Nomination Questions #2
Oct. 8th, 2018 08:06 pmFirst, just to reiterate, do not nominate Specific Character/Everyone, as it is too broad. Please keep the number of people involved in a relationship that you nominate less than infinite.
For the person or persons who nominated various relationships involving characters who don't appear in the Jackson movies under Middle Earth (Movies), they were rejected due to the characters not appearing in the specific version of the fandom you nominated them under. They would need to be nominated under Middle Earth – J.R.R. Tolkien if you want the versions from the books. If you want the versions from another version of canon, then please nominate under that specific fandom.
(That said, I'm willing to listen if you want to make an argument about why you want to nominate those characters under the Movies tag rather than the one for the books, despite them not actually appearing in them, as I know the Tolkien fandoms are a bit... complicated. Either leave a comment here on this post or send me an e-mail at holly.poly.exchange@gmail.com.)
There have been several people who have nominated Specific Character/Specific Character/OC or Specific Character/OCs, and I wanted to get people's opinion on those. Would people prefer not to allow OCs, or would they rather I approve those relationships? On a similar note, if I do allow nominations with OCs involved, would it be helpful or not to require that the nomination specify a gender rather than simply say Original Character?
On a related note, someone nominated several relationships over multiple fandoms that involved Other Male Character(s) or Other Female Character(s). If that was you, can you please clarify whether you meant an original character or "any female/male canon characters that aren't listed" when you say Other?
