holly_polyFirst of all, I'd like to thank everyone for bearing with me over the course of the exchange. This was my first time running an exchange rather than just participating in one, so I definitely had a bit of a steep learning curve. I appreciate everyone's patience as I figured out what did/didn't work, and hopefully next year's exchange will run much more smoothly now that I have a better idea of things.
Next year, I will definitely be stricter when it comes to deadlines, and I will be clearly laying out the ramifications of defaulting at the last minute or simply not posting at all in the rules. While I'm willing to allow extensions, I'll be shortening the maximum time I'll be willing to give people. If you don't post your story by then, I'll be sending it out as a pinch hit even if you send me message with an update. You can still post your fanwork once it's done, but assigning a second person to the assignment will hopefully help prevent delays with opening the archive as there was this year.
If anyone has any feedback or suggestions for other things that I should do differently next year, please either leave a comment in this post or send an e-mail to holly.poly.exchange@gmail.com.
