Nominations are open, and they'll stay open through 11:59pm EDT on 18 October. You're allowed to nominate up to 10 fandoms, with up to 10 relationships per fandom.

In order to nominate a relationship, simply click the Nominate button located in the top right-hand corner of the tag set. If you do not have an account on the AO3, please let me know, and I should be able to get you an invite. On a similar note, if you have any questions, or if you're nominating something that you think might be confusing, please either post a comment to this post or send an e-mail to holly.poly.exchange@gmail.com if you'd rather keep it private.

Please don't panic if I add some type of disambiguation to relationships that you nominate. Especially for ones where the same characters fall under different fandoms (various comic fandoms, movie/TV show vs. book fandoms, etc.), as doing so helps keeps tags from wandering to fandoms where they don't belong.

This is an exchange for romantic and/or sexual relationships, not friendships, so make certain to nominate relationships that use a "/" rather than a "&". If you want to request that a relationship be asexual/queerplatonic/etc., then that's something to include in your optional details when signing up.

Please note that while [Specific Character]/[Specific Group of Characters] is acceptable as a nomination, [Specific Character]/Everyone is too broad.

For example: Lex Luthor/Lionel Luthor's Board Members is acceptable because "Lionel Luthor's Board Members" involves a finite group of people. The same goes for Voldemort/Death Eaters, Shipwrecked Sailor/Mermaids, and Peter Pan/Lost Boys. While Carol Danvers/Anyone and Everyone or Jack Harkness/Everyone He's Ever Met are understandable, they're too broad because it could essentially involve an infinite number of people.

Since last year the movie Birds of Prey and the Fantabolous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn was released. But it is shortened to "Birds of Prey". The movie is part of the DCEU, the show is standalone.

People are allowed to nominate whatever relationships they want to request, as long as they involve three or more people. If you don't like them, then you can avoid requesting and/or offering them.

Hi mod my nominations of Barbara Gordon/Harleen Quinzel/Kara Zor-El (DCU Comics Prime Earth) and Barbara Gordon/Kara Zor-El/Zatanna Zatara (DCU Comics Prime Earth) were changed to Barbara Gordon/Harleen Quinzel/Kara Zor-El (DCU) and Barbara Gordon/Kara Zor-El/Zatanna Zatara (DCU). Admittedly Barbara Gordon, Zatanna Zatara, and Harleen Quinzel are roughly supposed to be the same people since their inception, however Kara Zor-El is not. There are three different, distinct versions of Kara Zor-El in the main DC comic continuity who share no continuity with each other.

The original Silver Age Kara Zor-El (Earth 1) was fridged in Crisis on Infinite Earths. She remained dead for 30 years and was only revived in the Convergence event which ended with her leaving the main universe with versions of Hal Jordan and Barry Allen to have adventures elsewhere.

After the original Crisis on Infinite Earths all knowledge of the original Kara was erased from the universe, though she appeared twice as a spirit to help others and there was once a weird time travel story where she teamed up with the human Supergirl at the time. Later a second version of Kara Zor-El (New Earth) appeared who shared essentially appeared on Earth for the first time with some different backstory, being in the wrong generation, and completely different personality. This Kara was erased from existence in the Flashpoint event.

The current Kara Zor-El (Prime Earth) only arrived on Earth in 2011. She again shares nothing with the previous two Kara Zor-Els. In fact, when recently interacting with a version of Superboy that is from before Flashpoint she had no idea of who he was, when the New Earth Kara would have.

This is before taking into account Power Girl, who is another Kara Zor-El.

Please restore Prime Earth to the tag. I admit that for most characters they are supposed to be the same person, but the distinction does matter for Kara Zor-El.

Also, you'd accepted a crossover ship of mine as Barbara Gordon (DC Prime Earth)/Felicia Hardy (616)/Harleen Quinzel (DC Prime Earth). Is it alright to continue using that format in the crossovers or should I not nominate crossovers using that disambiguation unless it is specifically Kara?

I've edited the names of those relationships in the tag set.

I think that should be fine for crossovers. It's just the ones nominated under the DCU category that only need a more specific disambiguation if it's a case like this, where there's significant differences between versions of a character with the same name.

(I freely admit that I stopped reading DC comics when New 52 happened, so I'm not familiar with pretty much any of the current comics canon. I'm basically depending on people making nominations related to the newer canon to let me know what needs extra disambiguation added, like in this case.)

hi! I nominated a couple pairings under "Stargirl (TV 2020)" but noticed there was a Stargirl pairing under Arrowverse. I nominated mine separately because other than a brief establishing shot at the end of the Crisis crossover event, it has had no connection to Arrowverse continuity than Titans or Doom Patrol, for example, and is a different Earth 2 than the one that Earth-2 characters in Arrowverse are from.

eta: sorry, my wording wasn't on point - by this: "it has had no connection to Arrowverse continuity than Titans or Doom Patrol, for example" I meant it has had no more connection to Arrowverse than Titans or Doom Patrol (or even Swamp Thing).

Also, there is a Courtney Whitmore established in the main Arrowverse continuity, so if Stargirl ships got lumped into Arrowverse, the Courtneys might need to be disambiguated. (And since Stargirl Earth 2 is different from, say, Earth-2 Laurel Lance's Earth 2, that might also be confusing.)

Thank you for commenting! I've talked to a few people more knowledgeable about the Arrowverse than I am, and I'm going to have Stargirl under its own tag at least for this year. I'll be posting a clarification to the community in a bit, once I finish going through all of the pending noms to see if there's anything else I need to cover.
