Fanvids and Podfics

holly_polyThere's a definite uptick this year when it comes to people requesting/offering fanvids and podfics. Because of that, I thought it would be useful to post a reminder that for those two especially, it's very helpful to the person creating for you if you provide at least some type of guidance - even more so than with fanart and fanfiction requests.
For fanvids, please try to at least provide details about general music that you like/dislike and whether you have any visual/auditory DNWs. That way the person creating a vid for you can make sure they're not using a song that you hate or including a special effect that gives you headaches or anything else along those lines.
For podfics, please indicate whether or not you'd like your own fanworks podficced and gifted to you. If possible, try to provide more information as well so that the person creating a podfic for you can try to make sure the fic they're recording is one that you will enjoy.
If you do have a signup that's completely blank and requested fanvids/podfics, please don't be surprised if you get an email from the mod account asking for more information to provide to your creator. It will be easier on everyone involved if you can try to provide those details in your signup and/or optional letter.
