Default Deadline

holly_polyThis is just a reminder that the default deadline is at 11:59pm EST on January 2, 2021. Please click here to see when the deadline is for your timezone.
What that means is, if you think you won't be able to finish your story by the actual deadline of January 11, then you should go ahead and default. That way your assignment can be sent out to a pinch hitter, and the recipient will definitely get a gift posted. You can still finish the fanwork and post it as a treat.
If you default prior to the default deadline, you may participate next year without any issues. If you default after the default deadline but before the final deadline, you will be required to write a treat in order to participate in the next exchange.
That said, please note that if you default and the person assigned to create something for you also defaults, you will not be assigned a pinch hitter.
