AO3 2014 collection is open!

OK, everyone, I've created a subcollection for this year's exchange on the AO3.

The subcollection is here.

Remember that because the assignments are done through DW and not AO3, you have to manually make the work a gift. Your giftee's AO3 name should be in your assignment. If that name doesn't work or if you realize you forgot to put your AO3 username in your submitted info, please comment and let me know so I can get the correct info for you.

I've also created the Orgy, the madness-style exchange, and that should also be open now, here.

I think I've got that set up correctly; I haven't done a prompt exchange on the AO3 before so let me know if it doesn't work right and I'll see if I can figure it out.

Erm, I believe that you (as the mod) are supposed to manually enter each participant's prompts to ao3 yourself (in order to maintain the anonymous nature of the an exchange).

I assume you're talking about the regular collection, and not the orgy. I didn't do anything like that last year. Assignments didn't go out through the AO3 because their system can't handle the requirements of this exchange. The challenge comm is anonymous and moderated, so people submit their work to the challenge, and I as the mod check that it fits the requirements and approve it. If you upload your work inside the comm, it should be anonymous, but I didn't upload anything myself last year, so I honestly don't remember the details of how it works. But I never uploaded anyone's prompts anywhere.

Sorry for the confusion, I actually did mean the orgy. So far, I only see your prompts in the orgy, under your name. Since this exchange is supposed to be anonymous, wouldn't submitting our prompts ourselves denature the anonymity of the prompt orgy?

No, I don't think the prompts are supposed to be anonymous. Otherwise people won't know who they're writing for. It's just the gifts that are anonymous. It's not an anon meme, it's a Yuletide Madness style thing where anyone can write for anyone.

Adding some prompts to the orgy...but since the Relationship line only accepts canonical tags, it's a little awkward. Most of what I asked for doesn't exist in the existing tags! <---outlier

I don't see a way I can change that in the settings -- let me know what tags you want added and I can ask the wrangler to canonize them.

Oh, it's fine, really not a big deal--it's an opportunity to stump for some new tags via fic. ;D (And I think it'd be jarring to find a canonical tag with no fic attached to it, anyway.)
