settiai: (Holly Poly -- settiai)

The tag set is here: https://archiveofourown.org/tag_sets/2627

Nominations have been open since last night, and we already have a decent number of fandoms and relationships added to the tag set. That said, I have a few updates and questions for participants so far.

First of all, considering the crossovers between the two, any relationships for Once Upon a Time in Wonderland (TV) should be nominated under Once Upon a Time (TV).

So far, the following Final Fantasy games have been nominated: Final Fantasy I, Final Fantasy Tactics, Final Fantasy V, Final Fantasy VI, Final Fantasy XIII Series, and Final Fantasy XV. While I'm familiar with some of the FF games, I haven't played all of them. From general fannish osmosis, I know that it's common to leave at least several of these separate for exchanges, but I wanted to get some feedback from people who are more knowledgeable than I am in regards to what would work best. Should they all remain separate, or would it be better to merge any of them?

I have a similar question related to the various DC comic series. I haven't read them regularly in over a decade, so while I'm familiar with some of the older events, more recent ones are a different story. So far, nominations include the main DCU (Comics) tag as well as Grayson (Comics) and DCU (Earth-0 Post-Flashpoint). From the little that I know about Flashpoint, my assumption is that DCU (Earth-0 Post-Flashpoint) should remain its own separate fandom (although please let me know if I'm mistaken). Is Grayson (Comics) dissimilar enough that it should be listed as a separate fandom, though, or should it be brought in under DCU (Comics)? Please chime in if you're familiar with the fandoms in question.

Last but not least, I have a question about one specific nomination.

For the person who requested Dragon Age - All Media Types, Cassandra Pentaghast/Cullen Rutherford/Female Qunari and Iron Bull/Dorian Pavus/Male Qunari, I wanted to confirm that you meant a generic qunari and not a specific named character such as Adaar. Please let me know if you did mean a specific character, and I will edit the tags for you.

While there will be a period after nominations close for going through the tag set looking for duplicates and other issues, please leave a comment if you notice any problems. There have already been a few relationships that have gone wandering into various fandoms, and - while I'm trying to correct spelling errors and the like as I approve nominations - there's a good chance that some will slip through without my noticing.

A good shorthand: FF games with different numbers are completely separate. FF games that can be merged, tagset-wise, will share a prefix with each other. e.g. Final Fantasy III and Final Fantasy IV are different, while Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2 can safely be combined (although they don't have to be).

(Sorry if I'm butting in, I just wanted to save you some time/research in the future!)

Yes, this. The games that are direct sequels all share the same Final Fantasy number - IV -> IV: The After Years, X -> X-2, and XIII -> XIII-2 -> Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII.

Final Fantasy VII could use the "Compilation of Final Fantasy VII" tag to capture the games (VII, Crisis Core, Dirge of Cerbrerus - all of which have Final Fantasy VII in their official titles) and the movie, and the other material that hasn't made a transatlantic trip.
