settiai: (Holly Poly -- settiai)

The tag set is here: https://archiveofourown.org/tag_sets/2627

Nominations have been open since last night, and we already have a decent number of fandoms and relationships added to the tag set. That said, I have a few updates and questions for participants so far.

First of all, considering the crossovers between the two, any relationships for Once Upon a Time in Wonderland (TV) should be nominated under Once Upon a Time (TV).

So far, the following Final Fantasy games have been nominated: Final Fantasy I, Final Fantasy Tactics, Final Fantasy V, Final Fantasy VI, Final Fantasy XIII Series, and Final Fantasy XV. While I'm familiar with some of the FF games, I haven't played all of them. From general fannish osmosis, I know that it's common to leave at least several of these separate for exchanges, but I wanted to get some feedback from people who are more knowledgeable than I am in regards to what would work best. Should they all remain separate, or would it be better to merge any of them?

I have a similar question related to the various DC comic series. I haven't read them regularly in over a decade, so while I'm familiar with some of the older events, more recent ones are a different story. So far, nominations include the main DCU (Comics) tag as well as Grayson (Comics) and DCU (Earth-0 Post-Flashpoint). From the little that I know about Flashpoint, my assumption is that DCU (Earth-0 Post-Flashpoint) should remain its own separate fandom (although please let me know if I'm mistaken). Is Grayson (Comics) dissimilar enough that it should be listed as a separate fandom, though, or should it be brought in under DCU (Comics)? Please chime in if you're familiar with the fandoms in question.

Last but not least, I have a question about one specific nomination.

For the person who requested Dragon Age - All Media Types, Cassandra Pentaghast/Cullen Rutherford/Female Qunari and Iron Bull/Dorian Pavus/Male Qunari, I wanted to confirm that you meant a generic qunari and not a specific named character such as Adaar. Please let me know if you did mean a specific character, and I will edit the tags for you.

While there will be a period after nominations close for going through the tag set looking for duplicates and other issues, please leave a comment if you notice any problems. There have already been a few relationships that have gone wandering into various fandoms, and - while I'm trying to correct spelling errors and the like as I approve nominations - there's a good chance that some will slip through without my noticing.

I think the movie and tv show would need to be separate. Most of the TV show takes place in the same universe, though RPM has said they're from another universe and likely Dino Charge too...but they still have had cameo's and crossovers with the current show.

The Power Rangers TV show all takes place in the same multiverse. Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers through Power Rangers in Space tell one continuous story. Power Rangers Lost Galaxy has notable connections to previous seasons including a former villain returning as a ranger. Many seasons have a team up with a previous season. The red ranger of Dino Thunder is related to a character in Ninja Storm. The mentor of Dino Thunder is one of the characters from the first season. Power Rangers Wild Force sees all the previous Red Rangers except one returning. Mystic Force has the redeemed first season villainess as the leader of all good magic. Power Rangers Megaforce has the team using the powers of every previous team as well as a battle that brings back almost every previous ranger either in suit or as a civilian. Power Rangers Ninja Steel also has a team up with multiple previous seasons. Power Rangers RPM and Power Rangers Dino Charge are in a different universe, but it is canonically the same multiverse with the RPM Red Ranger coming to help the Red Samurai Ranger and the RPM Silver Ranger & Dino Charge Blue participating in a battle with other veterans in Ninja Steel.

The most recent movie should be treated as its own continuity. It is a completely separate universe that doesn't even interact with the others in the comics.

As a note, the Power Ranger tags for the character Trini are all incorrect with regards to the show. Her name is Trini Kwan and AO3 mods stripped her of her last name because the movie never used one for her, despite the fact that she is still an actively used character in the Power Rangers comic series.

Thanks! That was more through than I was up for. I didn't realize that RPM and Dino Charge were the same universe. That kinda sucks for the Dino Charge characters. When did they reveal that? I'm so not caught up on Ninja Steel, it was probably the crossover.

No, they aren't in the same world. They and the main universe are all three different universes in the same multi-verse.

Okay, that's what I thought it was. Must have misunderstood your explanation, though something might have happened in the crossover I haven't watched yet. Thanks. :)
